e-Skills Week 2012
DIGITALEUROPE and European Schoolnet will implement also in 2012 the eSkills Week project as an initiative of the European Commission, aiming at raising awareness about education, training, jobs and opportunities to which young people can have access through the acquisition of digital skills – e-Skills.
These skills are considered to be essential for professionals who work especially in small and medium enterprises, for young people who intend to become part of the workforce in corporations and institutions in the digital era. The project of this year is based on the successful experience of 2010, which focused on raising awareness for the acquisition of digital skills to be employed in the digital society.
Albanian Information Technology Association is involved as stakeholder in the e-Skills 2012 project, upon invitation by DIGITALEUROPE. Its role will be to support and promote the project in Albania, along with counterpart organizations in various countries of Europe. This kind of involvement of AITA at international level provides an opportunity to move forward with the agenda of AITA in the information technology sector in Albania. Furthermore it is expected that this involvement
of AITA will make Albania more visible in the European map of information technology sector, especially in the course of the 100-year anniversary of independence of the country.
